Almost finished!

After moving into the studio in November and then having to move back to Oahu late February, the rush was on to get it all done.  I was not able to complete everything but I only have 3 more curtains and a little tile left to complete.  Here's some pictures of the update:

Well it's been a heck of a month!  I had hoped to be more regular with the posting, but I have to admit...I have been very busy.  So far I've been able to get a few things done, I was able to hire someone and get help with the windows and screens.  I have a cube up with a TV, and I finally picked up paint and started painting.  It's been very therapeutic in working on the studio, and planning for it's improvement.  Here's a few pictures of the progress:

Moving on in

It took 4 women (thanks Jessie!) to get the sofa bed into the studio, and after sleeping on it, thanks goodness it's comfortable. Here's a quick look at the messy move in!

After the move in, we went to the "Sip and Shop" at the first Annual Poipu Beach Food and Wine Festival at Kukuiula Shopping Center.  Fun!  Here's a link to the event in case you may want to go next year:

My Kauai Fixer Upper

Aloha, and welcome to my journey of my Kauai fixer upper.

I have spent most of my life on Kauai, but I recently returned after being away for many years.  Fortunately, I was living on Oahu and my husband and I were able to buy a fixer upper on Kauai last June, and now I am able to move into part of it (the back studio) as the tenant has moved out.

When I first came to Kauai, one of the places I lived had an out door bathroom, and I remember shooing away the toads as I washed my hair.  In my fixer upper, I have an outdoor bathroom in the studio, but fortunately it has a roof!

There are going to be many challenges as I get ready to move in and transform it.  I hope you enjoy the journey!  Here is a look at the pictures I took this week as I get ready to move in:
Entrance - its closer to the main house than I thought! And looking left once inside:

As you can probably tell, I fell in love with the rock walls of this house.  I will post again once I have started the fixing upping!
